[Biturbos4] Synthetic oil and coking?

Yikes! Mine was the dim recollection of a conversation with a friend in the business, but you prompted me to do a little deeper sanity check. It turns out he was, in fact, talking about their synthetic, and he sort of glossed over the fact that it's actually a blend. Thanks for setting me/us straight!

I don't believe that full synthetic motor oils use a petrochemical base. The synthetics _blends_ certainly do have a conventional base but full synthetics such as Mobil 1 and Amsoil do not.

Contrary to what the name suggests, synthetic lubricants aren't made from miracle unobtanium in the lab -- they're still made from petrochemical base stocks.
