[Biturbos4] Turbo reliability

Based on my trolling of AudiWorld - many of the K04 hybrids have been troublesome.
 
Unless you are purchasing new K04 turbos from a KKK dealer/distributor, I would be wary of anything else (re-built, re-manufactured) that aftermkt vendors are pushing these days. Too many turbo failures. You just don't know the quality of the machine shops that these vendors are using. 
 
I know that Achtuning had BIG issues with the front mounted IC, because the mfg source was a "guy in his garage (DUH Engineering)" - YES - really! So, if they would go this route for ICs, can u not be suspect of their turbo suppliers, especially if they are selling re-built K04s, or K04/K03 hybrids.
