[Biturbos4] Turbo reliability

We're a BorgWarner Distributor and currently have genuine RS4 K04 turbo
sets in stock. We also have different GIAC software stages/fueling that
can be run with them. Please contact us for more info.

At one time we were experimenting with hybrid RS4 turbos, using a KKK
supplier overseas. We were using RS6 based internals. We never had a
failure with them, but the turbines were so large, with clipped fins,
that significant torque was sacrificed in exchange for 20-30hp near
redline. The powerband was more normally aspirated feeling in nature,
without that big power hit down low, but with a 72-7500 rev limit
(highest we felt comfortable with on a stock engine), these turbos were
just beginning to hit their stride. They also liked a couple more PSI
of boost than what we run on the RS4 K04s, which we also were not
comfortable with on a stock engine.

Honestly, for US style driving on stock S4 engines, it is hard to beat
the stock RS4 K04s. Plus, the hybrids we were dealing with came at a
$1500 premium per set over the RS4 ones...

So, if they would go this route for ICs, can u not be suspect of their turbo suppliers, especially if they are selling re-built K04s, or K04/K03 hybrids.
