Just my own opinion, but I like this feature.  It avoids having to use
the dreaded locking clip, which are a pain in ass (or arse as you
Brits would put it).  

You really have to pull the belt out quite a ways before the one-way
locking engages, so just make sure not to pull it out that far when
installing the child seat.

BTW, don't think for a moment that you can get away with not using the
locking clip in a car without this feature.  I once tried that in my
in-law's car and was a bit shocked to find the car seat with my son in
it on its side after I took a turn a little faster than usual.
