Hello Ti,
While you are replacing the timing belt, you may wish to replace all the
coolant hoses. you're dropping coolant out of the system while replacing
the timing belt (and water pump). the car is getting on in years as
we are weeks away from 2010.
Tires: i wouldn't have ordinarily bought them, but last year i went with
the goodyear eagle f1 asymetric tires as they were (and are still) on
discount at $25 off each on tirerack. When i purchaed them, there
was also an additional rebate availalble from goodyear. I mention the
tire because it's a 7 ply tire with a high load rating. that makes it
a heavy, but stable tire. I generally prefer the tires of this
construction, and though it does add a bit of unsprung weight, for street
use on such a heavy car, i prefer the setup this way.
construction is 2 rayon plies for the sidewall, 2 rayon, 2 steel and 3
polymede for the tread. Made in Germany.
Good luck with your search.
