I hear you. Note, though, that it *does* come up close to nominal on the highway (maybe half-a-needle-width low from middle) and only goes down to the next line to the left (actually, about a needle-width to the right of that line) when in city traffic. I've loaned out my VAG-COM so I can't get actual temps right now, but I'll check it out when the cable comes home... - GA
