[Biturbos4] Trouble removing tranny fill plug

So I am replacing the drivers CV halfshaft and while I was in there thought it might be a good time to replace the tranny/front diff fluid... only the fill bolt (thank goodness I checked that before openning the drain bolt) is stuck fast and wont come out... I mean STUCK.
 
Any suggestions?
 
While pulling my driver's axle, it came totally out! the retaining bolt the holds the hub the axle bolts into backed itself out somehow so since I already have that off, can I just take off the side plate that contains the fill bolt hole?
 
Things just keep going from bad to worse...
