[Biturbos4] Time to Move On...

Don't mean to turn this into a thread comparing our long-lived turbos but. .
.

I'm at 100,000 on my 2000 S4 which I purchased new in October 1999. It has
been and remains a dream to drive and has required minimal maintenance.
This car has never seen anything other then Mobile 1 since the initial
break-in oil. It has already gone through two water pumps and is about to
get its third based on recent inability to maintain its cooling on hot days.
Will probably change the timing belt at the same time. This would be the
second preventative changing of the timing belt (learned my lesson on a BMW
that lost its timing belt while I was on the highway ‹ amazing how fast a
seized engine can stop a four wheel drive car with a manual transmission).
No intentions of getting rid of my S4 at this time. Just alternate driving
it and my '06 Carrera 4 Cab. With the chip and minor mods I've done on the
S4, the performance of the two with respect to acceleration from the line is
about equal (in my opinion) although I'd take the Porsche over the S4 any
day on a winding road or accelerating from high speed to higher speed. (No
need to flame me ‹ just my opinion.)

Greg, your car sounds great. I wouldn't hesitate to fix the steering ‹
although that may be a matter of money versus the time you'd keep the car if
the steering were fixed.
