[Biturbos4] B5 S4 Glove box strut/dashpot

Still listening in. Sold the s4 year before last and still miss it.

But to your question, if you open and empty the glove box you should be able to release it from the back or side can't remember which. (Once it flops down since the plastic plunger is out of the cylinder.) You should be able to slide the plunger back in, it is on the left side as you face the glove box. It is a bit tricky to line it up before the glove box catches but it is not to hard. It is pretty smart they just used a plastic plunger to slow the opening of the glove box.

The b5 s4s have great build quality and the fit and finish of everything is so top notch. The feel of all of the buttons switches trim was great. Something that seems to be falling off on the newer cars. Like I said it has been over a year since I sold mine so I have forgot about some of the challenges with some of the overly complicated components.

Best,
Damon
