Thanks for the kind comments! My buddy (and primary mechanic) Ken Fluhr did
the polishing. Though he did an outstanding job, it's really just a matter
of elbow grease and patience, there isn't any magic to it. Power tools will
certainly lighten the load, but it's as simple as polishing with heavy grit,
then lighter grit, then even lighter grit, then fine grit, then micro grit,
then finish with your favorite polishing compound (we used Mother's). It
takes a lot of time (even with power tools), but the results are worth it,
IMO.
No, we didn't extrude hone, ceramic coat, or powder coat anything. That
decision was mostly financial, rather than performance based.
