My concern is that powdercoat is typically a hard finish- and good for
"static" items.
Springs by nature will twist and move - they are dynamic.
- which is probably the reason that in alot of cases, the powder coating
fails and comes off in large chunks.
It's interesting that only the front springs are rusting - the rears still
have their blue powdercoat finish intact.
I was thinking that a finish with some flex would last longer in the
dynamic spring environment.
