[Es2] what paint for coil springs

Picked up a set of used 250 lb coil springs from Dick Shine Racing for the 
Coupe.
(Yes, they carry springs that fit the 80/90 CQs)

Fronts are a bit rusty, and given that I live in the salty northeast u.s., 
I want to address the rust immediately.

Folks have any BTDT experience in painting the springs?

I assume that unless the paint has some flex, it will eventually fail as 
the original paint did...
so powdercoating is probably NOT a good option.
