90% of the car is relatively immaculate, with newish brakes (2 months old), radiator, tranny, etc. 

It's a clean car with nice little wheels and buffed-up paint. Drive it, fix it, part it out. It's worth it for the updated ski-sack fuel tank, immaculate interior and 2, count 'em 2, Optima red-top batteries!

The only problem is that it got hit by a damn telephone pole.

I would consider a trade for a driveable, registerable, insurable (not a word) quattro, that's relatively local. And hey, cash is good too.
