Description:
PICTURES.

This is a very nice 1995 A6 with the somewhat rare 5-speed transmission. 172xxx miles, 52xxx on the t-belt. I hate to sell it, but I just bought a A6 2.7t and need to help pay for it. It is in amazing shape. The whole interior is in wonderful shape. Everything works except for the sunroof, which I unplugged after it developed the "phantom sunroof" problem. I modified the radio so that it turns on and off with the car. I installed a Billzcat1 short shifter, which works wonders for the shift feel. Radio code is available. The A/C blows nice and cold, the heat works well. The heated seats are nice and toasty. All dash illumination works, including the outside temp display. Tie rod ends were just replaced. Shocks, high pressure power steering hose, and heater blower were (somewhat) recently replaced. The car is running all the correct fluids, which have all been changed regularly. The paint is in relatively nice shape, but AZ has been hard on front bumper over the last
couple years (stone chips). This car needs nothing and has been well maintained. The bad: small stain on the headliner from my sister's mascara (haven't tried to clean it, didn't want to rub it around), numerous rock chips on the front bumper (typical of AZ), one chipped headlight (I have a replacement but wasn't going to install until the old one failed), small crease in the passenger side rear door, minor vibration over 75MPH (slightly unbalanced wheel), and a small dent and scratches in the driver's side rear under the tail light and on the bumper (accidentally backed into the wife's car in the driveway...). Everything except the small mascara stain are documented in the photos at http://www.spacia.org/~thorp/1995A6/ . Even given the above flaws, the car is still in amazing shape given its age and milage. Full repair history is available. The car drives well, the suspension is tight, the transmission shifts pretty smoothly, and the clutch doesn’t slip. I have a number of
spare parts available as well. They include the replacement headlight, a new clutch+flywheel (got a good deal and figured it would need it sooner or later, but never ended up needing it), engine and cabin air filters, and a spare steering wheel (the one on the car is showing a bit of wear, but I never got around to installing the new one). If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call or email. Email is preferred as I tend to be away from my phone quite a bit. Reasonable offers will be considered.
