Description:
NO PICTURES.
About the car: First of all, its one of the approximately 40 of the factory 5 speed manual V8s that made it to the states in 1991. Apparently, it has different cams and engine computer programming than the automatic version. It has an Autopage keyless entry/pager 2-way alarm that is tied into the factory alarm. Every once in a while the starter doesnât engage the flywheel on the first turn of the key, but always the second or third. It doesnât leak any fluids. The serpentine belt has started to squeal when the engine is started which I believe may be related to the power steering pump, but that is really the only thing mechanically not 100% and I am going to try to fix that problem this week. I rotated the tires a couple of months ago, and there is still some life left to them, but I was planning on replacing them by the end of the year (depends on how much you drive). There is an aftermarket Alpine tape deck with an Alpine 12-disc changer in the trunk. There are some new
Sony
6x9â speakers in the rear, but besides that I think all the other speakers are stock and sound decent. Comes with 5 original keys and key number tag, leather-bound owners manual, original window sticker, and I can even throw in a V8 development booklet if you want it.
Reason for selling: I have 3 cars and 2 motorcycles and only really drive this car about once a week, if that. It is a true highway warrior and even fun around town. Everybody who knows what this car is absolutely loves it and I really hate to sell it, but I just donât need it.
New within the past year: (I have receipts for most of the parts)
⢠Stebro stainless steel cat-back exhaust system
⢠Clutch master cylinder and full brake/clutch fluid flush
⢠UFO front rotors and pads
⢠Huge Interstate battery
⢠Full timing belt service
o water pump
o tensioner
o idler pulleys
o belt, etc
⢠Fresh oil change this week
Replaced since I bought the car in January 2005
⢠Viscous fan clutch assembly
⢠Serpentine belt
⢠Rear brake hoses
⢠Power steering hose rebuilt at Spokane House of Hose
⢠New right rear brake caliper
⢠Left front half-shaft
⢠AC recharged and fluorescent dye added to find any future leaks. I believe it is still holding pressure and working correctly, but havenât had a chance to test it
Cosmetic problems
⢠Sunroof material fell off and I kept the fabric to make a template for a new one, but never got around to it (rest of headliner is in good shape)
⢠Driver side sun visor was drooping so I removed it (I never used it anyway)
⢠Front seats are faded and drivers seat has a slice in one of the bolsters (all the material is still in the bolster)
⢠Right rear window glass was broken and shop installed new glass, but crooked so it doesnât line up perfectly with the seal. It doesnât leak water, but does make a little noise that can be heard from the passenger seat at highway speed. The window still goes up and down perfectly fine.
⢠There are a couple of very small dents on the right rear fender
⢠Rear bumper lower valence is cracked (looks like a perfect spot for dual exhaust) (easily replaced since it is just the lower black part that fastens to the upper part of the bumper with some plastic pins)
⢠The right rear lower door trim is bent and sticks out slightly
⢠Driverâs side mirror just started doing the heated mirror deglazing thing, but only around the perimeter
⢠The little wholes in the front doors are from the previous owners who had some kind of family emblem installed on the doors and when they got their new RS6, had the emblems removed from the V8 for the new car
⢠There is a small star (about the size of a dime) in the drivers-side headlight, but it doesnât go all the way through or leak any moisture
I am a very picky personâ¦most people donât even notice the little flaws.
I will try to post up some pictures later today or tomorrow. It is Pearl white with grey leather interior and a black steering wheel.
If you have any questions or would like to come take a look at it, please feel free to email me or call me on my cell phone anytime. (802)318-3248
