Description:
PICTURES.

The History:

I have owned this car since 2002 and 80K miles. Now it has 184K. Those miles were between 2002 and 2005 when I had a long (92 miles one way) commute. I now am a consultant, so I am not home much and have put less than 2K on it since March 2005.

The Mechanicals:

It runs and drives great. I have always kept it mechanically sound. I replaced the distributor when I first purchased it with the improved metal gear type. Timing belt was done at 160K with water pump and all typical timing belt items (although I cannot locate that receipt it was in 2004). In Jan 05 I replaced the starter. In Nov 05 (around 1500 miles ago) one of the front axles failed and at that time I had a complete suspension and brake service including calipers, cables, sway bar links, ball joints, control arm bushings, etc.

The Body:

The vehicle has no modifications and has never been repainted. The only exception is the front bumper surround/airdam. I hit an animal with the car and ruined the original one. I bought a used piece from a red car. I painted it black, but it is not a professional job. The piece was far from perfect to begin with, but looks better than one from a sedan in my opinion.

19 Years of Accumulated Wear:

The drivers seat bolster is worn through and the passengers door has a crease from someone in a parking lot. The A/C died in the summer of 2006 but I have never had it looked at. I suspect the compressor clutch because it blew exceptionally cold for about 20 minutes then died suddenly. The cruise control has never worked.

The Summary:

This is a very solid original and unmodified coupe in great mechanical shape. There is no new paint or accessories hiding the age of this car. I would like to see this go to someone who knows about and appreciates these rare cars.
