I have been toying with the idea of selling my 1987 Audi 5000cs. it is Quattro and a manual 5 speed with 184,000 miles that I purchased from my brother about a year and an half ago. THE GOOD. (All parts listed bellow have been done within a period of about a year that I have had the car).... The car currently has a cat back exhaust with a bosal muffler. It is also chipped with an Intended acceleration ECU and a stiffer waste gate spring. Always boosts to 1.8 bar. This is around 22-24 pounds of boost so I have been told. Just replaced the waste gate diaphragm and also put it a new rebuilt Jorgen power steering rack. New pads on rear brakes. The car was also recently alignment when I did the rack. Also has new tie rod ends and inner arms. Has a brand new starter that was put in about two months ago. The car currently has 16 inch A4 rims. Recently replaced a fuel line and did a full tune up (plug, wires, cap, rotor).THE BAD. Cranks for like 10 to 15 seconds before start unless warm
.Car definitely needs new ball joint in the front. Interior dash lights do not work. Rear windows donât work along with crappy door handles in the rear only. Sunroof tilts up but does not go back :(. Seats are torn as well. Car also Ticks when cold but runs great and does not burn oil. The car definitely needs some TLC but it is a great car. The only reason I am toying with selling is that I have another 5000 I just recently purchased that needs a new power steering rack. I would rather not scrap this car and pull the new rack out of it because it is a good car and very fast. Therefore I want to see it being driven instead of rotting away in my driveway. I am looking to get around 1,600 obo.
