My AUDI story (life's unfair, long)

Well here it is, my story. I just moved to Cleveland, OH from Winnipeg, MB,
Canada. I decided that rather that buying a new car, I would keep driving
my 84 4000s (old faithful). From Winnipeg I drove to Minneapolis, MN with
no troubles, it was around 9:00pm when I reached there. I figured I would
push on until midnight. On the way out of the city, I stopped for gas. I
pulled back out onto the Interstate, as soon as I hit 3rd gear, CRACK! no
more clutch. I stopped, checked things out, everything was fine except for
the fact my clutch didn't work. So I started the car in 1st and drove all
the way back a friends place that just happened to be on the other side of
the whole city. Reached there at about 3:00 am.
The next morning, my friend tells my he knows a guy at Goodyear who'll be
pretty fair. Considering my urgency, I take the car to Goodyear.
Throughout the day, I get a few phone calls saying that they can't find this
part, or something went wrong and that they'll try their best. I go to pick
up the car, and he gives me the news... They pulled out the clutch,
replaced the release bearing and shaft, but couldn't find a clutch kit for
the car. The bill came to $600. Ouch.
I go to my car start it, try to put it into first. It doesn't go. The
mechanic tells me the clutch cable is stretched and there is nothing he can
do. So I've got to drive 10 hours, with a clutchless car. Not exactly the
funnest thing trying to match revs to each gear. A few hours into my trip I
realize my cruise control no longer works, next to that, my car is getting
louder (exhaust tone). When I get to cleveland, I'm staying at a hotel. I
inspect my car to find all my exhaust clamp are cut. I guess they needed to
move the exhaust to get to the clutch, but they didn't hang it back. So now
my downpipe has a huge crack in it, it's beyond repair. And I still can't
shift gears... On top of this, for some reason, my wheel alignment is out
as well???
I get a new clutch cable, and try to install it. Good fit, took only 15
min. BUT, it still doesn't work. On closer inspection, the clutch wasn't
put together right, so I had to open it up some and fix it. Now it works,
BUT another problem, the clutch is old and worn, I still need a new clutch!
Were these guys out to destroy my car or what! Man, it's hard to get good
service these days!
PS. Anyone know of any good Audi service shops in Cleveland (Mayfield),OH???
I'm kinda desperate.
