George,
I have experienced similar if not same problems. The vibration was resolved
by replacing the old rotors which had developed a slight runout(warpage),
and the problem became more pronounced when hot from extended braking.
The feeling of power assist lost I have not resolved, but understand it is
related to the AC running and the MC becoming marginal. I have a new MC I
need to install to see if it resolves the problem. I suppose it could alse
be attributed to a marginal Hydraulic booster as well.
Replacement of the front rotors and pads has significantly reduced the
problem but it does show up on extended driving/brakeing with AC on.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you resove the problem, as your not the
only one with it.

Subject: Brake pressure accumulator
87 5000TQ has been acting srange lately. After a drive of about an =
hour, the brake pedal would drop when depressed and have a hard pedal =
feel of no power assist. The next the car would be fine. Now it is =
occuring on shorter runs. It also seems to give rise to a pulsing =
feeling in the steering when the brake pedal is depressed. The later =
symtom is caused by the rotars, but these were just replaced recently =
and I have had not problem with them otherwise.
Has anyone had a similiar experience.
