Happy Friday. Here's something that will cheer a few of you up.

A bunch of you have had this problem, and Steve's email gave me a brainstorm.

Let's say your email address is bob at bob.com

But your From: header has to say "bob at mailhost.bob.com" or somesuch.
The list software considers these different addresses, and mail with
a from header reading mailhost.bob.com will get rejected.

There is a workaround though.

Subscribe THAT address as well.

Once you've succeeded, quickly view the options for that "member" and
turn ON the "disable mail delivery" option(it's the first one.)

Note that for this to work, your From: address MUST be
deliverable(ie, some shmoe can send mail to that address and you'll
get it.) If not, sorry, you're tough out of luck; your email setup
is too bizzare.

The same thing can be done for folks who want to post from home and work.

-Please- only use this if you really want to(or need to, just to send
posts to the list at all.) We'd rather not have all 1,600 people do
this :-)

Apologies for the hiccups in moving things to MailMan; doing things
like this on a big list is never easy. It seems that more than the
majority of people like the new interface(and the control they now
have over their preferences); delivery times are quick, and I've
received no end of praise and joy from digest users who seem to
-love- the new format(has anyone tried the MIME format digest option?
I'm curious...)
