Look,
I NEVER tried to start a war. All yourve dont is spout your supposed Knowledge and not given much help. NO, you need a pulsed system to do it right, do this, without telling where to get info.
I do NOT doubt your abilities, you have built a very capable car. I am working on it and have had neithe the TIME nor the Money to buy the stuff I need to finish it. Maybe money grows on Trees in your land, but not mine. So lay the fuck off. If you want to attack me personally do it off list. Or dont participate. Personally, I enjoy your comments but if you cant listen to others then thats to bad. Everyone has valid points. I NEVER said that one injector is Better than your system. Never. I simply proposed that that might be an option for those that want more power. I think your way is interesting but by no means a perfect solution. I think full EFI which I plan to do. (And I believe your have worked on) is the proper way to go money no object. But it is, and for me, I'f I'm leaning at say (14 psi) then I plan to add an injector or two to get more power. I also plan to experiment with some other things.
Yes, the idea of the injector being so close to the #1 runner has crossed my mine. Why not find a constructive way to say so rather than ignoring it saying Your Wrong, Your Wrong like the 12 year old kids I work with and make a valid sugestion. Its a convenient spot but not nececcesarily the best spot. I'm proposing ideas looking for opinions from people I consider my friends and that I think have good opinions. If you dont want to participate then fine. If you want to talk about power, then if you engine is so dang good why is it only doing 13psi. I've seen OEM CIS systems run 20psi. (slightly modified of course). Boy, all that money sure seems to of been well spent. My conversion cost me almost nothing. How bout yours. Well, I guess you had a lot of help at work so maybe it wanst much. Additionally, I built mine as a low pressure, High Compression motor to maintain drivability. Off boost it drives like a stock 4kq. On boost I can pull a TT and keep up with a 5.0 or 4.6 Mustang or Eagle Talon Turbo. It is more powerful than any other CIS 5-cyl running 7psi I've ever felt. The High compression may be part of my problem. I'm not sure yet. I have built CIS motors that build WELL over 7 psi. More than your motor even. But this particular one is causing problems that some very knowledgable people have even been stumped on. So dont put me down like that.
Ok, enough, I'm half drunk and in the mood to rally. SOrry to everyone else. As for you, JS, I value you opinions, I think your Turbo project was a great project that turned out well, I think there are others that may know more than you as they have way more experience than you, and I dont want to fight about this. Either deal or dont talk to me. I guess I dont care but I'd prefer you deal as I do like having people that actively post their ideas.
Oh, BTW...did you P&P your heads. If you did and you want to talk, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it. I did it to mine but I'd like other observations.

Man, this is really getting good! Tell you what, untill you can build a car that actually runs above 7 psi and 5k RPM, I will not differ to your opinions or advice.
Ask any engineer?? How about an Audi engineer who implemented 5 CIS injectors all delivering the same amount of fuel to each cylinder. You are actually implying that a "6th" injector is the right way to do this? In reality you are suggesting that an injector be placed directly above the #1 intake runner spraying at 40+ psi pressure directly down into it-and you imply that that is a better solution for correct dist. of fuel to each cylinder?? Have you taken into consideration the higer mass and thus intertia of fuel? Are you really implying the fuel is going to react in the same way as almost weightless air?
Don't mean to get nasty, but please...
I think I am done with this thread...

Doint it right IS the Best way. But yours may be
fine. Maybe the difference wont be enough to make it
dangerously lean, just a little leaner than the front
cyl's. THe RS-2 and 3B motors have the same problem.
Audi did an even Better job of compensating than in
the CIS cars but it still exists. THey tried to fix
it by tapering down the air at the rear.
THis is why in my 20vt conversion using an AAN I
plan to build my own intake and have it flow matched.
With the TB entering towards the front but making an
effort to balance flow out.
ANyhow, I'm sure your 10 injector system will be
fine for a while. But try going to 25psi or in the
real High HP reign and you may have troubles. But
that would require a different Intake anyhow. BUt at
13 PSI you can run all day likely and be fine.
