coolant overflow tank

I think that this is one of those things where you have to ask yourself
do I need a coolant overflow tank for an "Audi Type 44", or do I need a
coolant overflow tank that will fit in the space in my engine
compartment? Why does it have to be the same shape/size as the
original? I would take the old one to an auto wrecker and look for
something similar, if not exactly the same. You might luck out and get
one out of a 1999 dodge or VW or something. I figure that is one of the
ways that I can save money to apply towards the parts that are Audi
specific like headlights. I respect that some people like to keep their
cars as original as possible and in that case this is not a suitable
alternative. For the rest of the DIY'ers it could save quite a bit of
money. just my opinion, hope it helps someone.
