Mysterious Thunking Round 2

Well it didn't take very long after the suspension was installed for my
mysterious front end thunking to come back. I would say this is a trans
mount problem. Though it exhibits some weird qualities. Accelerate in 1st
gear, ride the clutch a bit like when coming on the throttle on a hill and
the noise is obvious. When it thunks I feel it in the steering wheel, plus
a few time I've felt the steering tug a bit. When the car is cold it's
louder and happens more often. It doesn't happen everytime I hit the
brakes, nor everytime I jam the gas in 1st. It's got a mind of it's own it
seems. Any clues for me?

New control arms, ball joints, mounts, front shocks, suspension:), subframe
bushings, and so forth. Where the exhaust used to rub against the center
cross bar has been shaved, never hits anymore at all. I rotated the
catalytic converter so it doesn't hang down, fits snuggly up in the tunnel,
but doesn't hit. Very odd, the only part is the mount it seems, BUT mind
you why would a part of this mount clunk against the floor only in certain
situations like 1st gear and not every gear or every bump...?!

Other than that she's a runnin' good, idle is fudged good, but that's life
with my car, TIA!
