4kq clunk/pop in l.h. turns

My '85 4kq has a single clunk, or pop coming from the front
passenger side when going fairly hard around left hand turns.
Sound is pretty consistent and happens when right front is under
moderate load. My mechanic drove it and found that the short
bar that connects to the front sway bar was slightly bent and 
rubbing against the right a-arm; he fixed this, but she still makes
the noise. Any ideas?
