I own an '87 tqw, it has 195,000 miles on it, most people who see it think that it is a new car, Audi's lines are timeless. The car is chipped, new clutch, new radiator, new injectors, etc... for me, knowing that I have a 13 year old car that can out accelarate, is fast, has a plethora of safety features just now becoming standard on most "american" cars is a fulfilling. My insurance is cheap, I can work on the car myself, and I enjoy thoroughly making the Japanese car owners see nothing but 4 rings in their windshields. I say keep the car, spend the money to make it what you want, and enjoy it. I think of my audi like the Navy thinks of their old ships, some of those ships are over 50 years old, yet they appear new because of continual maintenance and pride of ownership. Sorry for the rant.
