type44T..ever had your washer bottle melt?

Must be your imagination, Chris :~) If the bottle was full of washer fluid,
it would tend to boil off whatever fluid was in the bottle. OR, you had a
heat source in your engine compartment that swept blistering hot gases over
the bottle long enough to get parts of the plastic very hot. Was the bottle
empty? Is the whole bottle distorted, or is the damage localized? Could
there have been such a heat source? Is there other evidence of scorched or
distorted plastic ? Are all those hoses and connectors and fittings in that
area still undamaged?
A most likely explanation would be an exhaust manifold/turbo stream leak.
Such a leak could release 1,200 degree gasses directly from the cherry red
manifold or turbo, and those gasses could have been swept across the washer
bottle by ram air during a trip/rally/race.
The washer bottle is on the correct side to receive such gasses. The engine
itself is a very efficient furnace what burns gallons of high test fuel
every hour. That's my best guess as a source of the heat. Smoking gun
argument, you might say. Very interesting mystery. Tell us when you verify
the answer. And check for a split in the down pipe from the turbo as well
as a EM leak. And try to avoid dying from whatever is affecting that washer
bottle.
