I reckon I should have been more clear on my response below...I had an '85 
and '86 that weren't galvanized.  My '83 definitely isn't, but  it does have 
a galvanized replacement fender on it!  I know that because the body shop 
painted it after they put the front airdam so there's about 20 square inches 
of unpainted, definitely galvanized metal exposed when the air dam is off.  
I've seen type 44's as early as '86 in the boneyard that are galvanized, so 
I'd assumed it was done across all lines (hence the reason my one fender was 
galvanized)....

Another interesting bit-o-data is that my '83 CGT, garaged all it's life has 
absolutely no rust whatsoever.  My '81 4k (RIP) also garaged all it's life 
rusted something fierce.  Both cars have only lived in Maryland.  Dunno if 
there was a difference in rustproofing between '81 and '83, but it sure 
seemed that way in my case.
