it is not galvanised.  it *may* have "some" galvanised parts attached to
it...

but it is painted *very* well.

change the ATF often enough to keep it free of 90w just in case your
seals are leaking a little.  That seems to be the agreed upon failure
mode of those trannies so a little preventative maintenance should go a
long way.  We hope.
