check the warm-up regulator, it's like a CIS choke. It's probably dead, 
giving you no 'choke' in the morning. The right way to check the regulator 
is w/ a special CIS fuel pressure gauge. The cheapest I could get it was 
for $55 at JCWhitney. I had a similar problem and I had the mixture set 
extra rich while it was broken. So I got mediocre cold running w/ rich 
normal running. You can adjust the mixture by turning the 3mm allen head 
screw in the fuel dist. I don't recommend doing it unless you can get it 
back to the right position, b/c you want to have a proper adjustment when 
you get things in shape. To set the mixture, you need a dwell or duty cycle 
meter. The warm-up regulators can be expensive, but really need to be new. 
Old ones usually have burnt up heating elements and will have more
