I flew from South Carlina to LaGuardia, NY to buy my V8.
The seller picked me up at the airport and drove us back to
his home in CT. We did the deal, I found my way over to
Paul Krumins' house and within the hour we were on our
way to Mt. Washington (it was hillclimb w/e... how convenient).
After the w/e, I drove back to SC.
Total elapsed time: 4 days.
Two days off work. An early, early Friday morning 2-hour drive to
Atlanta.
(Thank God for good friends). Was at Mt Washington with
the V8 that night. Left Sunday evening and drove back as far
as the NY CT border. Spent absolutely the scariest night in a
hotel, ever in my life. Next day returned to SC.
Had MW not "interfered", I could have conducted the entire
deal over a single w/e.
