Clutch Pedal Odd Behaviour

Clutch master cylinder (and possibly the slave) CAN leak internally as in 
fluid goes past the piston washer and doesn't run out the seal at the 
outboard end of the cylinder.  There's also an over-center spring on the 
clutch pedal suspension that pushes or pulls the pedal to the floor (if 
there's no hydraulic resistance) when you reach the middle of clutch pedal 
travel.
