Front Upper Strut Mount

So my question is, has anyone tried the so called "Improved" strunt mount that Blau sells.  It is supposed to lower the front by 1/2 an inch and improve handling.  Does it do either of this things.  Also this is all I am replacing because the shocks feel fine.  Will i need a spring compressor to install it?
