Hi Lawrence;
The S4 motor appears quite different from the Type 44 motor. On the S4 motor
the bearing is positioned inside the squirrel cage fan where the Type 44
motor has the bearing located outside the fan cage. The S4 motor does not
have a cooling duct and looks shorter to me than the Type 44 motors,
although I haven't measured them.
