Can you detune the engine to meet the power and torque limits?
We could invent the first unChip, a "Chip" upgrade that reduces power,
complete with softer waste gate spring :-)
Rather than a resister-zener mod, it weould be the op-amp mod.
Actually, a simple throttle limiter might do the trick. Make your new full
throttle be 3/4 or so of the normal MC full throttle to reduce the available
torque.
You could then explain to them the turbo is primarily for altitude
compensation, so it can make the same power at any elevation. The turbo is
not there for more power...
