Spare parts to carry for a Type 44?

Right now, the most useful specialty tool is a large bent paper clip (in my
pocket) to pry out the exterior door handle lever when it sticks in the
handle after I open the door on an icy morning. The cost is very
reasonable, compared to driving around all winter holding the door from
flying open.

Also a small sturdy multi-colored beach umbrella on the rear shelf behind
the head rests, and a wool lap robe on the rear leather seats. And some
spearmint Altoids in the glove box, along with a flashlight and tire gauge.

In the trunk I carry a spare control valve for the heater hose. They let
loose now and then and dump all your coolant. I carry a spare because I
bought a replacement and just never got around to putting it on. Major
procrastinator! So the replacement became a "spare." Also carry a used
dizzy cap and rotor and the old sparkers, rather than pitching them when I
replaced them.

And I carry a few spare window switches plus some aluminum duct tape to
seal up an electric window if it stops in an open position while I am on a
trip. Had that happen once in an Ohio blizzard, 150 miles from home. And a
spare wiper arm. And a full sized spare tire. And a spare bulb for the
headlights. And some spare bulbs for the other lights. And spare fuses, of
course. And a tow strap and jumper cables.

Also, a variety of stainless steel hose clamps and some baling wire and an
endless supply of nuts and bolts. And 100 pounds of tools and electrical
testers, etc. And a bottle of Pentosin, a bottle of brake fluid, and a
spare quart of Castrol Syntec.

Plus a snow brush and a Windex spray bottle full of windshield de-icer. And
a gallon of denatured alcohol in a steel can, to mix with the windshield
washer fluid.

Now everyone will know that I am a very insecure Audi enthusiast. Damn.

I've been meaning to ask this for some time, and now
that Xmas is (almost) past I may have some $$ to start
building a spare parts toolbox for my '89 200q.
So, I'd love to hear what fellow listers carry in
their type 44's. Things that could leave you stranded
but are replaced relatively easily on the roadside
provided you have the foresight to carry the part.
