I tend to agree about the rebuild IF you trust the
rebuilder. Often times the older part was actually
BETTER than the newer replacement. Sometimes the
rebuilding addresses a problem that occurs over time
and improves the product, as I previously posted WRT
the stainless steel sleeves inserted in the wear
surfaces of racks and MCs. I would like to try
putting a ball or needle bearing in the front of a PS
pump some day in place of the bushing. Most
mechanical parts only have very few things that wear
out. OTOH, I will NEVER again replace a radiator or
heater core with a used one. Now that's false
economy.
