MC engine crank needle bearing

pulled the bearing off.  probably had to remove a couple of other litle 
things like the flywheel, too.  but at some point of stripping down, it was a 
no-brainer. The new parts required were not expensive and it was nice to 
replace them as well.>>

    Hum, I think Phil may be referring to the older style needle bearing, not 
the later style sealed bearing located in the flywheel like in our cars.  It 
is a breeze in a type 89.  Phil, the best tool is a factory specified tool 
that has an expanding insert that goes into the bearing, then there is a 
screw mechanism that uses the block to thread the bearing out backwards.  HTH,
