Snow tires (M&S)

M&S tires aren't even needed in areas were it snows 5 times a year. A
good set of all-seasons will suffice. M&S tires are for the most part
mushy, useless on pavement, and are really designed for mud and snow.
All-seasons are stiffer, provide much greater handling on dry pavement, and
so on. I live up in VT and I need my Blizaaks, no way around it. The roads
I commute to class on didn't get plowed for 3 days the last time it snowed.
I really should get studded tires, but too late. Now that I'm down in NY
for a week or two it seems silly to have the snows on, mushy ride, sloppy
handling comparatively. Really no need for studded tires in an area that
gets minimal snowfall. Though it is nice to have those snows on when it
really does let loose in areas that get one or two major snow storms a year.
