On that note,
We got rid of the radio on my roommates A2 Jetta and put a
trimmed 3-gauge panel from a 4ks in there. THen we moved the
radio down lower by that empty spot in the dash where the
ashtray and cigarette lighter were. Puts the guages up high and
in great sight and puts the radio just above the shifter like on
a 4kq so you can reach it just from the shifter. Works great.
On my 4kq, I keep Alt and Oil Temp down low. (But have round
gauges (or will later this month when I switch back) and put the
BOOST, Oil Press, and OXS mixture gauge up high. Works great.
Boost on A pillar. Other two above center vent in custom guage
pod. (which is a discontinuted VDO part I think)
