I once owned a VW Jetta that was tinted by the
PO...this was in Illinois.  Moved to Wisconsin and
stopped by a sub'n Milwaukee PO who insisted the tint
was illegal, yet used no meters, just eyeball it at
night.  Fortunately, I still had Ill. plates on the
car and he let me go with just the verbal warning to
get the stuff off the car.

OAC-The "VW Jetta" is a sister model to something
available in Europe called an Audi A3...gee, can't I
wish for a TDI version of one of those???
