Unintended acceleration

I forgot to mention in my original post, the temparature last night in
Western Mass. (FAR Southwestern Mass., actually) was about 7 deg. F when
the incident happened. Today, when I tried to reproduce the problem, it
was no warmer that 20 deg. Tom
