curious about Audi power steering.....

The older Audis had a stiffer power steering, which I personally
preferred over the "light touch" cars. My 100Q had the same system
as your 5KTQ.
However, I guess Audi got complaints, so they introduced the
"servotronic" steering assist, which was basically an additional
pump to provide more assist.
I hate that. It lasted about 4 days in my A6QW before I unplugged
the relay, returning it to the original higher feedback steering.
The other day, I test drove a new A6QW and was surprised at how
light and useless the power steering was. I guess if I buy it,
I'll have to unplug that servotronic too :-)
