A very simple trick is to route the lights' washer tube around the one of
the radiator's hoses (the one closer to the washer assembly or the water
reservoir) and form a spiral around it. Garden irrigating elastic/plastic
hose is good for that and especially if you take the time to wrap it with
some Armaflex on top.
I used this trick in past and was always handy. Hot water is especially good
for cleaning road dirt and bugs and is also good for defrosting the
windscreen (no danger for it to crack since the water on the engine is still
cold when you have just started the car. It just helps with the wiper blades
not getting frozen on the windscreen)
