Unintended acceleration

Keith...I believe that a rev-limiter is what prevented over-revving when
I did just that, preparing to steer off the side of the road and shut it
down. However, still don't understand why the revs dropped to normal
and the car has been motoring happily and uneventfully in the 2-300
miles I have driven it since. Will let you know if I ever find out
anything.
Q#2: Don't know anything about 4ks...all mine have either been 5k or
200. Regards, Tom
