Yep, and it was a licensed VW! In the 70s VW developed the Iltis (meaning
Ferret) to replace the type 181's (aka Thing) posistion as a scout car in the
German army. The Canadian Army also found use for this small softtop 4x4 and got
Bombardier to produce it for them, with VW keeping parts and service for this
