3rd seat

Our A6QA has a rear facing 3rd seat, and one of my Volvos had one as
well. Not a place I'd let my granddaughter ride, right in the "kill
zone" of any careless or inattentive tailgater. Spill your drink, drop
your CD, take out a kid. The seats are somewhat rudimentary, have little
legroom, and offer rather little in the way of car seat tiedowns.
Infants would be facing forward, a position that is NOT recommended, and
would be inconveniently far from the front seat. Having said that, we
used to fight bigtime over who got to sit there in the wagons of the 50s
and 60s. John
