All Wheel Steer was Audi vs Subi

US NEVER got the 150HP 2.0 16V VAG motor. Closest thing to that (in terms
of HP) is the 1.8 T 20V VAG motor (which I'd imagine has a ton more
torque than the 2.0 16V). The 134 HP 2.0 16V was last offered in the US
until the end of the 92 model year, and it left along with the last of
the A2 body Golf/Jettas. The A3's only came with 2.0 crossflow 8Vs (115
HP) or the 172 VR6. The Corrado and Passat got 174 from the VR6
apparently due to better exhaust plumbing. Oh, the 134 HP 2.0 16V's
remained availible in the Passat until they switched to the Audi A4 based
(not VW A4, ahhhh!) chassis, okay when Passats went back to the
longitudinal engine mounting! Anyway, US AGAIN missed out on the more fun
engines. Bummer!

(Heck, if the 150HP 2.0 16V was availible in the A2 body in the US, I'd
switch to FSP in Solo2 for sure! A 150 HP Golf sounds like a really,
really sweet ride!!!)
