That manual KH engine must have been a conversion. I found 4 links of
people just in CT who did this very thing. If you look in the Bentley, or
do any part look ups, there are no manual tranny's available for the turbo.
Audi felt w/o quattro the turbo engine made too much torque and would
suffer from traction issues, so they only used an A/T and specific final
drive ratio so that the car didn't loose traction while accelerating too
much. They only offered manual later on when they brought quattro to the
5k. In '84-'85 there was no quattro.
So I think the only option is a '86-'88 5kt/tq flywheel. www.woodfins.com
can sometimes get good prices on lot's of different parts. Also worth a try
is Dad's in CA or www.car-part.com
