Audi vs. Subaru sales

I agree with Ron. I have a '96 Outback (well I did until the nice judge lady
made me give it to my estranged wife a few days ago) and a '97 A6. They are
different, and I like the Audi better, but it will be interesting to see
what happens as Audi moves upscale. That said, however, there will always be
differences between German and Japanese cars. A Lexus is not a BMW, but
they're trying real hard. I guess that we Audiphiles on this list prefer the
handling of German cars.

Subject: RE:Audi vs. Subaru sales
This seems to have been an interesting thread and some may even argue, why
compare Subaru with Audi at all. Well, I have both cars and I will say a
couple of things. The 00' Outback Wagon that I have is well put together,
nary a thing wrong. Trips to the dealer consist of oil changes only. Audi
should take a page from Subaru. The Outback is solid, dependable and good
looking to boot. People come up to me in parking lots to ask about the
Outback.
The latest JD Power survey put Subaru just a shade behind Audi and you can
bet that Subaru will be out to improve things in a hurry. Now I love my Audi
but I say, Audi watch out behind you, Subaru is comin' on fast and Audi
engineers must be a tad worried about the VDC! Outback sales will only get
better.
