Audi vs. Subaru sales

Well, you may be right about how the Subaru runs and the technology
behind them, as well as their reliability. Everyone knows how well the
Audis run (or don't run). I don't think that AUDI has any great fear for
their market concerning Subaru, in North America anyway. I think that the
new Outback sedan and any new additions are all that AUDI has to fear in
this market range. BMW and Lexus pose more of a concern. VW however
competes directly with Subaru in almost all of the classes they make. With
the introduction of 4motion to the smaller VW's will pose a threat to
Subaru's share of this market. I think that AUDI's response to Subaru
nipping on it's heals (lets all face it, they are catching up) is the old
catch phrase "The best defence is sometimes a good Offence".
Audi sales have also been picking up here in North America. I
beleive that history and a strong racing program provide substantial
strength for their products. Sometimes it takes more then just a good
product to turn Joe Public into a customer. There are more car buyers out
there now then ever before and I think that Audi will be able to hold strong
despite a good effort from Subaru.
